Congratulations to our team members on their recent accomplishments! Andreas Nitsche was inducted into this year’s 40 Under 40 by the Pacific Coast Business Times, and eight team members recently received promotions with BPW!

Andreas Nitsche, CPA was recently named one of this year’s 40 Under 40 by the Pacific Coast Business Times. The 40 Under 40 award recognizes up-and-coming leaders in the Tri-Counties. Andreas is a Supervisor in the firm’s tax department. He received his bachelor’s degree from UCSB in Economics and Accounting. Andreas joined BPW’s tax department in 2012. He grew up in Baruth, a small town in Germany south of Berlin. In his free time, he enjoys riding his bike and deep sea fishing. All of us at BPW congratulate Andreas on his well-deserved recognition!

Daylin Dettenmayer was promoted to Level II Staff Accountant within the firm’s tax department. Daylin began with the firm as an intern in 2017. Originally from Ojai, Daylin graduated from CSU Channel Islands with her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Mathematics. Since then, she has studied accounting and is working towards her CPA designation. She enjoys outdoor activities, painting, piano and playing softball and other sports with her step-daughter.

James Lewis was promoted to Level II Staff Accountant in BPW’s audit department. He joined the firm in 2017 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Accounting from UCSB. James is originally from Ojai and enjoys cycling and hiking in his time outside the firm.

Jodie Nakajima was promoted to Senior Accountant in the firm’s tax department. Jodie enjoys working on a variety of engagements at the firm and is a part of BPW’s Estate Planning Group. Originally from Monterey, Jodie received her bachelor’s degree in Economics and Accounting from UCSB. In her time away from the firm, she enjoys cooking, rock climbing and spending time outside. Additionally, Jodie is involved with CalCPA Young and Emerging Professionals.

Julia Walther, MBT was promoted to Senior Accountant within BPW’s tax department. She enjoys working on business taxation, including partnerships, s-corporations and c-corporations. Julia is originally from Sherman Oaks and earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies as well as her Master of Business Taxation from USC. During her free time, she enjoys beekeeping and pottery. Additionally, she is involved with the Santa Barbara Beekeepers Association, CalCPA Young and Emerging Professionals, CalCPA Financial Literacy and the CalCPA Santa Barbara Discussions Group.

Laila Halimi was promoted to Level II Staff Accountant in the firm’s tax department. Laila joined BPW as a staff accountant after interning with the firm in 2017. She graduated from UCSB, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Accounting. She is originally from Santa Barbara and enjoys designing and sewing in her free time.

Lisa Gray, CPA was promoted to Manager in the firm’s audit department. Lisa is originally from La Palma, California and graduated from UCSB with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Accounting in 2013. She enjoys working on employee benefit plans, financial reporting and nonprofit engagements. In her time outside the firm, she enjoys soccer, cycling, music festivals and concerts. Additionally, Lisa is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of CPAs (CalCPA).

Rosemary Schmoller, CPA was promoted to Supervisor in the firm’s audit department. She is originally from Berkeley, California and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics with an emphasis in Accounting from UCSB. Rose serves as treasurer for the Marjorie Luke Theater Board of Directors and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of CPAs (CalCPA). Rose spends her free time at the beach with her three daughters.

Tiffany Goodall, MBA was promoted to Supervisor in BPW’s tax department. She is originally from Chatsworth, California. She graduated from UCSB with a Bachelor of Science in Aquatic Biology and earned her MBA with an Accounting emphasis in International Finance from the Keller Graduate School of Management. Tiffany is part of the Estate Planning Group at BPW and enjoys working on estates and trusts for high-net-worth individuals, as well as winery engagements. In her time away from the firm, she enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including hiking, kayaking, swimming and waterskiing. Additionally, Tiffany serves as chair of the Santa Barbara County Winery Financial Managers Group, organizes the Young Adult Group at the Santa Barbara Community Church and serves as a board member for the CalCPA Membership Committee and the CalCPA Santa Barbara Discussions Group. She has also been a member of the Screen Actors Guild since 1988.
